Fernando García-Baró
PYP Teacher
Fernando is a virtuoso cellist, specialising in the works of Johann Sebastien Bach, and often performs for our students during lunchtimes. When not playing his cello, you will find him rock climbing at the Centre Sportif de Verbier, reading about philosophy, or cooking with his wife Yoko.
Fernando is passionate about music and the role it plays in education. Bringing this passion to his PYP teaching, Fernando plays a key role in both the primary sector and as a teacher of modern foreign languages.
Prior to Copperfield, Fernando studied at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, achieving a BA in Music, followed by an MA in Musical Pedagogy. He then studied at the Dresden College of Music, achieving an MA in Musical Interpretation, and then the Universidad Pontifical Comillas in Madrid.
Fernando speaks Spanish, German, French, English.
