Having grown up in Germany, I started in my family business of wood processing, before heading for the mountains to follow my passion for skiing. In 1980 I received an offer to work for the International Ski Federation. There I was responsible for some of the most innovative developments in international snowsports, including the introduction of freestyle skiing to the Olympics in 1992 and snowboarding in 1998. I discovered Verbier in the late 70s and moved here at the end of 1999 when I left the FIS. I then started my own business with an office in Verbier exactly where the school is now located.
