Jessica Sharkey
Head of Learning Support
Jessica joins Copperfield as our new Head of Learning Support. Having studied in the United States and earning her M.Ed. in Secondary School Counseling, Elementary and Secondary School Counseling PK-12 Certificate, and B.A. in Psychology, Jessica comes to us with over 15 years of experience working closely with students within the educational counseling field as both a School Counselor and Mental Health Clinician. Jessica believes that the proper blend of support across settings plays a key role in providing the best learning environment for a child.
Pursuing a career within the international school system and working abroad within her field has long been a professional and personal goal for Jessica, and she saw this dream come to fruition when she most recently served as a College Counsellor, Academic Advisor, and Academic Admissions Coordinator for an international boarding school in Switzerland. She is excited to join the Copperfield community as the core values, curriculum, and environment align with her belief that all students can meet high academic expectations, have full educational experiences, and achieve great success with the appropriate support in place.
Outside of her professional role, Jessica loves to live life to its fullest and is passionate about traveling and experiencing the world. She enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing. Most importantly, she enjoys spending quality time with family, close friends, and her sweet Yellow Labrador Retriever.
