Karel Komarek

Karel's story begins in the Czech Republic, where he started his career in a family firm trading industrial fittings. In 1992, Karel founded the company M.O.S. Hodonín, which became his springboard for joint business activities in the oil and gas sector. In 1995, Karel founded what is today a multinational firm operating in the oil and gas, information technologies, real estate and gaming sectors. KKCG is Karel's professional masterpiece – it operates in 18 countries around the world, and its member companies include KKCG Real Estate Group, SAZKA Group, MND, ARICOMA Group, Springtide Ventures, and others.
Karel is a dedicated philanthropist. He is Chariman of the Board of Directors of the Karel Komárek Promeny Foundation, an organisation that provides support for the improvement of public spaces, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Karel Komárek Family Foundation. He was instrumental in founding the Dvorák Prague International Music Festival, and has received the Gold Medal in the Arts from the Kennedy Center International Committee on the Arts.
