Max joins Copperfield as a Harvard-educated barrister and solicitor (non-practising) and a highly respected professional musician. A versatile and experienced violin recitalist, chamber musician and concerto soloist, he made his concerto debut at Snape Maltings at the age of 11.

He pursued his legal studies at Jesus College, Cambridge and legal qualification at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in tandem with his international performances, before undertaking doctoral research at the Royal College of Music. Before this, Max was a double academic and music scholar at Eton College. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Harvard and a Master’s in Physics and Philosophy at Columbia, gaining congratulatory marks in theoretical physics. Max is a founding Trustee of the Guernsey Harpsichord Trust and a Fellow of the Royal Schools of Music.
