Sir Ivor Roberts

Non-Executive Director

Sir Ivor Roberts is a forme British diplomat and the former President of Trinity College, Oxford. Sir Ivor brings to Copperfield an international-mindedness gained from ambassadorial positions in Belgrade, Dublin, and Rome, from diplomatic postings in Lebanon, Paris, Canberra, Vanuatu, Madrid, and even as Head of Counter-Terrorism in the Foreign Office during the 1980s.

 

His intellectual and cultural interests and commitments are expansive - Sir Ivor is a Patron of the Venice in Peril Fund, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, the Chair of Trustees of the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Chair of the Keats-Shelley memorial Association. Educated at Keble College, Oxford, he played rugby and now serves as the President of Oxford University Rugby Football Club. He also chaired the King's College Madrid group advisory board and also chaired the Jardine Matheson Scholarship Foundation.
